Internship in Africa
With an internship in Usalama Children's Center, you can offer valuable service to the children's home and simultaneously learn about Africa first hand.
Your tasks are to supervise the children, assist the local staff and help with the housework. During your stay there are opportunities for connection to a church, various excursions and activities.
The internship period is three to six months. The time there is seen as a social outreach, so all travel expenses as well as boarding costs are at your expense.

In Kenya, approximately 1.4 million children have lost their parents to AIDS, which puts it third place in Africa. Thus a large part of the officially placed children at UCC are HIV positive.
Usalama means safety and security in the local language Kisueli. In order to offer the children this sense of security, we need your assistance.
You can choose between project sponsorship or child sponsorship, but of course we are also happy for any sort of contribution.
