One of the goals of the Free Christian Church Winterthur is to stand up for the disadvantaged in society and to help those who cannot help themselves. This includes the commitment to Kenyan street children.

For this reason, we support the Usalama children's home in Nairobi with all that is available to us. We provide consultation with the  local leadership, practical aid and of course financial resources for the children's home operation.

After a social-diaconal outreach in 2003, Moni Winkler decided to travel to Kenya for a longer term.

From 2005 to 2009 she worked in "Happy Rock Center" in Mombasa, where she was responsible for the care of HIV positive children and for  accounting.

In 2009 she then moved to Nairobi, where she founded and built up the Usalama Children's Center.

Since June 2013, she is back in Switzerland and supports the work in Kenya from here.
